    Canada will reopen all PR programs under Express Entry from July 6

    Canada will be lifting the last pandemic-era restriction on its immigration services. The country announced that all Express Entry draws will resume starting July 6.

    Canada first imposed restrictions at the start of the pandemic- over 18 months ago.

    Immigration minister Sean Fraser took to Twitter to invite all eligible candidates to apply under
    • Federal Skilled Worker program
    • Federal Skilled Trades program
    • Canadian Experience Class

    Last month, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also announced a new task force to tackle the delays, saying, “we know service delays, particularly in recent months, are unacceptable...we will continue to do everything we can to improve the delivery of these services in an efficient and timely manner, and this new task force will help guide the work of the government to better meet the changing needs of Canadians and continue to provide them with the high-quality services they need and deserve.”

    "IRCC is moving towards a more integrated, modernized and centralized working environment in order to help speed up application processing globally," Aidan Strickland, Press Secretary at the Office of the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, told ET.
