NEW DELHI: Villgro has made an investment in Adhyayan, a company that provides educators a proprietary product made up of tools, process and framework for school self-review resulting in systemic long-term improvement.

Adhyayan also works alongside the school to aid its improvement and build its capacity as a robust professional learning community.

Villgro has infused an initial capital of undisclosed amount in Adhyayan. Villgro will also provide mentoring to scale-up operations, according to a release.

"We do not need to build school quality from scratch – we have to facilitate, connect, support and share best practice by helping our partners to develop a common vocabulary and lexicon around the quality of schools," says Kavita Anand, co-founder of Adhyayan, who formerly ran the Shishuvan school in Mumbai.

Adhyayan's diagnostic framework, now in 11 languages, which underpins the school review, is based on extensive research on what good schooling looks like around the world and is benchmarked against global best practice, the release stated.
