PUNE: Solidworks, the computer-aided design and modelling solution from Dassault Systèmes, is growing at over 30% annually in India, on the back of its focus on small and medium businesses and government initiatives like Make in India.
The company has been adding 1,000 new customers every year for the product for the past three years and expects this growth to continue going forward.

Gian Paolo Bassi, chief executive at Dassault Systèmes Solidworks, said this was in line with the kind of growth the brand was seeing across the world.

“Solidworks has grown at 26% in Q4 last year, and at a similar pace in the last few quarters,” he said. This, he said, is largely a result of industries realising the need to refresh their technology stack and the innovation driven by Industry 4.0, the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies.
