BENGALURU: Digital technology training provider Simplilearn has partnered with Deviare, a South Africa-based digital and IT solutions firm, to expand its offerings in the African continent.
Through this collaboration, Simplilearn will offer digital skilling programmes in the field of Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud programming, and Full-stack Development for learners and corporations in the African market.

Deviare, which provides digital transformation and workforce skilling solutions to enterprises, would take Simplilearn’s digital training programmes to the entire region, said the company.

Simplilearn expects to reach more than 10,000 learners who are now on the Deviare platform in the current financial year.

These technical skilling programmes are accredited by Media, Information, and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA)of South Africa.

Simplilearn, which has a strong presence in the US, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe, and the United Kingdom, said nearly 2500 learners are already taking the online digital courses after it started in April.

"We don't have plans to build an on-ground presence in the region. So that's why we came up with the model of partnering with a strong local company. They will represent us in the region and offer our courses to their customers," said Krishna Kumar, CEO and Founder, Simplilearn.

They would bundle our learning courses with the offerings and have the flexibility in choosing the price, Kumar added.

Lubabalo Dyantyi, Co-founder and executive director, Deviare, said governments and businesses across the globe are coming together to address the issues of building a relevant skilled workforce and this collaboration with Simplilearn would play a big role in helping businesses across Africa navigate their digital transformation journeys.
