    Synopsis

    The bank services in India will get affected in November 2020, due to a major festival falling in the month. Therefore, there will be a couple of days banks will be shut across various states in the country.

    Normally, banks remain closed in cities across the country on 2nd, 4th Saturday and all Sundays.
    Most banks across the country will be closed today, ie. November 30, 2020, on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

    Now, in November there will be many bank holidays due to major festivals during the month. Other than festivals, will be a few more days when banks will be shut across various states in the country. Further, banks are also remain closed in cities across the country on 2nd, 4th Saturday and all Sundays.

    • November 14, a Saturday, banks across the country will be closed due to Diwali
    • In Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and few other states, November 14 (Saturday) to November 16 (Monday) are holidays on account of Diwali Amavasaya (Laxmi Pujan)/Kali Puja/Second Saturday and Diwali (Balipratipada)/Laxmi Puja/Bhaidooj/Chitragupt Jayanti/Vikram Samvat New Year Day
    • Meghalaya November 6 (Friday) is a holiday on account of Wangala Festival.
