    After cement, Adani forays into healthcare services

    Gautam Adani’s company, Adani Enterprises Limited, has forayed into healthcare services through its wholly-owned subsidiary Adani Health Ventures Limited.

    The subsidiary includes setting up, running, administering medical and diagnostic facilities, health aids, health tech based facilities, research centers and basic healthcare facilities.

    Gautam Adani said that the healthcare venture will commence operations as soon as possible.

    Adani Enterprises, an incubator for new businesses created by the Adani group, has invested nearly $20 million to acquire a minority stake in an Israeli startup, Forsight Robotics, that specializes in ophthalmological surgeries reported TOI.

    The (Adani) group, similar to its biggest competitors The Tata and Reliance groups, is keen on scaling up its presence in the healthcare sector.

    The Indian multinational conglomerate entered the pharma market back in 2014 already and has since made 30 acquisitions in different sectors including retail, logistics and energy.
