    Optiver makes international offer of Rs 1.39 crore (Euro 157,000) at IIT Bombay final placements

    Kolkata: Trading firm Optiver has made an international offer of 1.57 lakh Euros per annum (Rs 1.39 crore) at IIT Bombay as Day 1 of final placements got underway.

    For domestic jobs, the highest numbers of offers were made by Microsoft, Google, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, Apple, Bain & Co. International offers were made by Optiver.

    For Day1, compensation-wise, highest salaries (CTC) on the domestic front were offered by Qualcomm (Rs 46.41 lakh), WorldQuant (Rs 39.7 lakh), Morgan Stanley (Rs 37.25 lakh) and Uber (Rs 35.38 lakh)

    Slot 1.1 has witnessed the participation of 18 companies, the institute said in a release.

    So far 153 Pre-Placement Offers (PPO’s) have been accepted by students, the institute said, which is higher than last year. Amongst the sectors, hiring was done by IT/Software, Core Engineering and Consulting.
