NEW DELHI: Brand Ayushmann Khurrana gives a big boost to 'Bala'. The movie's first-day collection was Rs 10.15 crore after its release on Friday, which became the 35-year-old actor's biggest opening-day haul ever.

'Dream Girl', which released this year, and 2018's 'Badhai Ho' are next in the actor's money-makers list at Rs 10.05 cr and Rs 7.35 cr, respectively.

With 3,000 screens in India and over 550 screens overseas, film critic and movie analyst Tarah Adarsh called 'Bala' Khurrana's biggest release to date.

Adarsh also said strong word-of-mouth promotions helped the movie, and the business is expected to grow during the opening weekend.

The thriller actor took to Twitter to share his excitement.

'Bala' also features Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. In the movie, Khurrana plays the role of a guy who suffers from premature balding. It revolves around his love life struggles and how he gets demotivated because of his looks. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Among others, 'Bala' also features Javed Jaffery and Saurabh Shukla in supporting roles.
