Two new offerings Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Bholaa' and Nani-led 'Dasara' are here to keep the audience glued to the big screen over the weekend.
Both films, which were released on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami on March 30, have performed exceptionally at the box-office. Moreover, experts believed that their businesses will escalate during the weekend.

According to production house SLV Cinemas, Telugu star Nani's 'Dasara' has minted more than Rs 53+ cr (gross) worldwide in just two days since its release.

"The movie grossed Rs 38 crore plus on its first day (worldwide), earning a staggering Rs 15 crore on its second day. The film's two days - worldwide total stands at more than Rs 53 crore," the banner's note read.

Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala termed the movie a "blockbuster."

Directed by debutant Srikanth Odela, the pan-India film is set in a village situated in Singareni Coal Mines in the Peddapalli district of Telangana. It was released in five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Besides Nani, 'Dasara' also features Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar and Poorna in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Devgn's fourth directorial 'Bholaa' earned a total of Rs 18.60 crore at the box-office in two days since its release.

The production banner Ajay Devgn FFilms took to Twitter to announce the collection of the movie.

The Hindi-language action-thriller opened from positive to mixed reviews on Thursday. 'Bholaa' earned Rs 7.40 crore on its second day, and opened with Rs 11.20 crore at the domestic box office on its opening day.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh hopes to see an upturn.

Besides Devgn, the movie also stars Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, Vineet Kumar, Sanjay Mishra, and Gajraj Rao in key roles. It is produced by Ajay Devgn FFilms, Reliance Entertainment, T-Series Films, and Dream Warrior Pictures.

'Bholaa' is the official Hindi remake of the 2019 Tamil hit 'Kaithi', which was written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It revolves around an ex-convict (Karthi) who decides to meet his daughter for the first time after being released from prison but gets caught in a face-off between police and the drug mafia.

'Bholaa' marks Devgn's fourth directorial film after 'U, Me aur Hum' in 2008, 'Shivaay' in 2016, and 'Runway 34' in 2022.
