    The 65th annual Grammys gala began on Sunday in Los Angeles with a power-packed performance from reggaeton superstar Bad Bunny, as top nominee Beyonce broke the all-time record for the most awards ever by bagging five awards at the glittery event.

    Her love letter to club music ‘Renaissance’ propelled her to the front of the Grammy pack with nine nominations where she won two trophies in the pre-show and three during the awards ceremony.

    Harry Styles won the coveted Grammy for Album of the Year, a surprising victory over heavy favorites such as Beyonce and Adele. "This doesn't happen to people like me very often, and this is so nice," he said onstage.

    The album's release marked an evolution for the one-time boy band heartthrob to the teenage masses, who has steadily grown into a heartthrob for all.

    The musical night was opened by Bad Bunny with a festive, high-energy performance that brought many of the audience including Taylor Swift, who rose to her feet and danced near her table.

    Lizzo bagged the top award of the night as her song ‘About Damn Time’ won the Record of the Year. Scoring the prize is something of a comeback for the 34-year-old, who was widely tipped to be the big winner in 2020 but lost all her chances at a major award to pop phenom Billie Eilish.

    Meanwhile, the American blues, folk and country singer Bonnie Raitt, scored an unexpected Grammy on Sunday for Song of the Year, an honour for her track ‘Just Like That’.

    Pop superstar Beyonce broke the record for most career wins at the Grammy awards on Sunday but lost again in the prestigious album of the year category to British singer Harry Styles. Music composer Ricky Kej, based out of Bengaluru, has won his third Grammy Award for the album 'Divine Tides' and dedicated the honour to his home country, India.

    • Best pop vocal album: Harry Styles - 'Harry's House'
    • Best dance/electronic recording: Beyonce - 'Break My Soul'
    • Best rap performance: Kendrick Lamar - The Heart Part 5
    • Best metal performance: Ozzy Osbourne featuring Tony Iommi - 'Degradation Rules'
    • Best rock album: Ozzy Osbourne – 'Patient Number 9'
    • Best traditional R&B performance: Beyonce - 'Plastic Off the Sofa'
