    NEW DELHI: The weekend began early for some India Inc bosses when they took part in a Twitter trend on Friday afternoon.

    Corporate India bosses such as Kunal Bahl, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Vishal Gondal and Radhika Gupta among others, took to the micro-blogging while sharing a joke from their respective sectors. The funny one-liners ranged from venture capitalists (VCs) to start-ups and fintech to fitness tech.

    If you are wondering where it all started, we, too, are wondering. It is unclear from where the trend picked up, but has spread like fire on everyone's Twitter feed.

    Snapdeal founder Bahl kept it simple with one joke on eCommerce that 'had already been returned'.


    The Paytm founder seemed quite excited with this new trend. Showing off his funny side, the entrepreneur's collection of jokes featured a variety of themes like fintech, VCs, stock market, the USA, coffee, production houses, roller-coaster among others.




    Radhika Gupta, the MD and CEO of Edelweiss AMC, shared a funny joke on her area of expertise: systematic investment plans (SIP of mutual funds).


    Mythologist and author Devdutt Pattanaik's joke about the almighty will leave you chuckling.


    Freecharge & Cred founder Kunal Shah also shared jokes on start-up funding, credit cards and philosophy.



    GOQii CEO Vishal Gondal wasn't too far behind, as he shared a fitness joke, hinting at the popular Indian habit of procrastination when it comes to working out.


    Food delivery platform Zomato also joined the bandwagon with green tea and oregano sachets joke.



    Netflix India also share a one-liner on the currently hyped series 'Dark' on time travel.


    Within minutes the trend was followed up by people from the entertainment industry. Director Hansal Mehta, actress Richa Chadha, and comedians like Papa CJ, Atul Khatri, Amit Tandon and Vipul Goyal shared one-liners on nepotism, governance, stand-up comedy, coronavirus, America and even Paytm's KYC.
