Kapil Sharma, Ginni Chatrath blessed with a baby girl; B-town congratulates

Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath, on Tuesday, were blessed with their first child, a baby girl. Sharma, who will be ringing in his first wedding anniversary on Thursday, took to Twitter, to announce the news of his daughter's birth.

"Blessed to have a baby girl, need ur blessings, love u all, jai mata di," he wrote.



Within only a few hours, the 38-year-old's post went viral on social media and witnessed thousands of congratulatory tweets from his fans and friends from the film and cricket fraternity. The first few to respond to Sharma were singer Guru Randhawa, actress Dia Mirza and former cricketer Suresh Raina.

Mirza, who launched a new production house on Monday, congratulated Sharma and sent love and blessings for the newborn.



Raina, also father to a baby girl, reiterated that daughters are angels while greeting the newly-blessed couple.



Badminton ace Saina Nehwal too, joined the list of prominent personalities who blessed Mr and Mrs Sharma.



Randhawa, who was recently in the news for being attacked at a concert Vancouver, seemed to be overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a 'Chacha'. He wrote, "Congrats my paji. I’m officially a Chacha now."



'Dream Girl' actress Nushrat Bharucha's post was one that welcomed Sharma to fatherhood.

"Congratulations @KapilSharmaK9! Lots of love, good health, and happiness to your baby girl! Welcome to fatherhood," she wrote.



YouTube fame Bhuvan Bam, who seems to adore Sharma like a brother, also congratulated the couple.



Earlier in May, while giving an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Sharma revealed that he and Chatrath are expecting a baby.

The couple tied the knot in Jalandhar on December 12 last year. They later hosted two grand receptions - in Amritsar and in Mumbai.
