The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday reportedly summoned Shah Rukh Khan's driver for questioning in the drugs case, in which the superstar's son Aryan Khan has been sent to judicial custody.

According to TOI.com, the driver is said to have been summoned as part of the investigations to unearth any previous links that Khan Jr. may have with the process of procuring drugs.

News agency PTI reported that a NCB team, on Saturday, also conducted searches at the residence and office of film producer Imtiyaz Khatri in connection with the case.

Khatri's name cropped up during the interrogation of the accused persons, who were earlier arrested in the drugs seizure case, an official said, adding that the NCB has been cracking down on the drug peddlers and suppliers in the metropoli, according to PTI.

After a court refused him bail in a drug seizure case, on Friday, Aryan was sent to Mumbai's Arthur Road prison.

He is likely to spend the weekend in quarantine cells of the prison as the Sessions Court, where he will need to file appeal for bail, is not working today on account of it being the second Saturday of the month.

An NCB team had raided the Goa-bound Cordelia cruise last Saturday and claimed to have recovered drugs. A total of 18 persons have been arrested in the case.
