NFTs are changing the way we store data. From photos to audio, all are being certified as digital assets by the NFT wave. While it is well-known that NFTs can also represent real-world objects like artwork and real estate, now India is all set to witness the launch of music NFTs for the first time.

India’s first fully curated NFT marketplace, Jupiter Meta, is all set to announce the launch of music NFTs in the country. Singer and composer, Karthik, who is known for his work in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films will be making the music NFTs available through his special metaverse solo concert on April 14, 2022.

For the music industry, the launch of NFT is a milestone as it will give artists the right to ownership of their work and also connect them directly with their fans. NFTs will bring a host of benefits for musicians and creators. For consumers, these music clips will foster a sense of ownership and financial flexibility.

“Doing something like this in the metaverse is beyond imagination! I’m really happy fans get to experience this special moment and own my new songs! It is going to be rocking,” shared playback singer Karthik while expressing his excitement at the prospect of connecting with his fanbase through NFTs.

The CEO of Jupiter Meta, Manasa Rajan, while speaking on the development, asserted that metaverse has moved beyond being just a buzzword. “It has real implications and brings actual value to the way we interact with one another and with intangibles such as culture and the sense of community,” she said.
