He would meet chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday to discuss the proposal. Pawar’s statement comes amid clamour from different sectors to open up establishments and businesses.
Several experts, including those in the state’s Covid-19 task force, have, however, said restrictions should continue till 70% of the population was fully vaccinated.
“My personal opinion is that whoever has been administered two doses of the vaccine can be slowly allowed to step out. I would discuss with the chief minister on Friday whether this can be done, Pawar said in Pune on Wednesday.
