    The Infamous Hot Dog Contest Hosted by Nathan’s Is Back, Here are all the details

    For Hot-dog lovers, this Fourth of July will be day to rejoice. The Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest of 2022 hosted by Nathans is scheduled for the 4th July in Brooklyn of New York. The annual hot dog eating contest by Nathan’s has been held every year since the year 1916.

    It's Nathan's Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest time at Coney Island in Brooklyn. After being relocated because of the pandemic, the Independence Day contest is returning to its original location.

    Joey Chestnut aged 38, is looking forward to win yet again! If he wins this contest, this would be his 15th win at this competition. If he wins, he would beat his own record of 76 hot dogs and buns that he ate in 10 minutes last year.
    Michelle Lesco, aged 38, won the women’s contest in the year 2021. She had consumed 30.75 hot dogs and buns in the span of 10 minutes. Lesco will defend her title against Miki Sudo, who is the world’s No. 1 ranked female eater. Sudo had given the competiton a miss last year because she was expecting. The personal best of Ms. Sudo, 36, is 48.5.

    Nathan's original location will be packed with thousands of people to watch the competition, which will be broadcast live on both ESPNEWS and ESPN3 at 10:45 AM Eastern time. The men’s competition will commence at 12.30 PM while the women’s competition will commence at 11 a.m.

    The annual hot dog eating contest by Nathan’s has been held every year since the year 1916.

    For the 2020 spectacle, the American media was invited only and the location was secret to curb the spread of Covid-19. The Brooklyn Cyclones' Maimonides Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones, held the event last year and ticketed it to limit the number of spectators.
