    The Feed
Holi is a festival of vibrant colors, and this year it will be observed on March 7-8, depending on the region. From early morning, the streets will be filled with people joyfully shouting "Holi Hai!!" as they throw colorful powders at each other. Participants typically wear white attire and apply oil to their hair and skin before taking part in the festival. Children also enjoy the festivities, engaging in water balloon fights and using "pichkari" water guns. The colorful celebration attracts tourists from all over the world during the spring season to witness the event in person.

There are different types of Holi played in India depending on the region:

    • Lathmar Holi in Uttar Pradesh
It is also famously known as ‘Barsana ki Holi’ and played since Lord Krishna visited the place and played Holi with Radha and her friends. The Barsana men tease their loved ones by smearing color on them and in return, all in good-hearted spirits they are beaten up by bamboo sticks.

Although, it is celebrated on the Ekadashi in the Holi week and regionally called ‘Phoolon ki Holi’.
