This 61-year old villager in West Kenya compares himself with the legendary King Solomon - not just for his wisdom, but also for the size of his family.

David Sakayo Kaluhana, featured in a documentary by Afrimax on YouTube, has 15 wives and 107 children in all, and he claims they all live in peace.

As if to prove that point, the wives across different age groups pose together with him for pictures or are seen in the video breaking bread together.

What won Kaluhana so many brides is his "genius". He's a historian who has read hundreds of books, and in his tribe such men come once in many generatioms.

"A head like this one of mine cannot be handled by one woman, Because it possesses a load that she alone cannot carry. That's why I married many wives. Because I amm too smart for one woman," Kaluhana.

That logic apparently still sells in his neighbourhood, for the video says Kaluhana keeps reminding the wives that there would be more coming.

Kaluhana says he is like Solomon - the monarch of ancient Israel mentioned in the Old Testament - who had "a total of 1000 wives".

The momey he earns from his travels an lectures among different tribes helps feed this extraordinarily large family, while th women split up the household chores among themselves.

Some of his wives - Jessica , Dorin, Rose - say in the video that they never felt jealous for long about the new wives because he divides his time between them.

"We are living a good life, loving each other," says one of the wives, Rose David Kaluhana, who has had 15 children with him.

The documentary has more than 2.6 lakh views in less than two days, and in the comment section there was a mix of wonder and outrage

"I wonder if he knows the names of all his children and which wife he had them with," said a user.

"They say they are Alright but why I cant feel what they are saying..All I can see is sadness in their eyes," commented another.
