Stranger Things Season 5 release updates: Will there be another season?

Stranger Things Season 4, Part Two is taking Netflix by storm. And now the fans are wondering what lies ahead for the show in the future? Is there going to be another season, and if yes, when can we expect it? Stranger Things is undoubtedly one of the most popular shows on OTT, wowing the world with a magnificent character line-up and intriguing storyline. No wonder people are eager to know more about it.

The extended waiting period between seasons 3 and 4 of this amazing series, by the Duffer Brothers, left the viewers hungry for more. The fans would love to have a never-ending supply of this show, but like every other show, it will have to conclude someday.

The Netflix watchers loved the seven episodes of Season 4 Volume 1 which debuted on May 27. Each episode was scary, funny, heart-warming, and thrilling, all at the same time. And now, today, on July 1, the fans will be able to enjoy Volume 2 as well. So, will we be seeing Season 5?

Well, yes. In February this year, Netflix and the Duffer Brothers announced about Season 5 was in the making. Recently, Duffer Brothers have even teased about what can be in the upcoming instalment. We will learn more about the origin, history, and lore of Upside Down, and there could be a time jump, according to them.

However, the sad thing is that the show producers have announced that the show will conclude with Season 5. They have also hinted at the possibility of spinoffs, so this will not be a goodbye after all. They have not yet started filming Season 5, but you can expect it to be out sometime in 2024, according to the predictions. Netflix has not confirmed the release date yet.

Shooting for Season 4 started in January 2020 but was halted in March due to Covid-19. The shooting resumed in September of the same year, but we didn’t get to see it before May 2022. It was an unusual process, and the Duffer brothers don’t expect it to happen again.
