In 2018, Tyagarajan earned nearly $700,000 in salary, $3.1 million in share awards, $960,000 through the company’s non-equity incentive scheme and a little over $79,000 in other compensation. He received $17.4 million in option awards.
“The CEO last received an option grant in 2013, which was also structured as a multi-year grant vesting 50% in 2016 and 50% in 2018, and he did not receive any additional option grants until the 2013 option grant had fully vested.”
Because the options are expected to cover a five-year period on an annualised basis, Tyagarajan’s 2018 compensation was $8.3 million.
The company’s chief financial officer Edward Fitzpatrick earned $2.4 million in 2018, marginally lower than the $2.5 million he earned in 2017. Patrick Cogny, senior vice-president, infrastructure, manufacturing & services and high tech, earned $1.96 million in 2018, and Arvinder Singh, senior vice-president of capital markets and IT services, earned $1.97 million.
