    Jio-invested gaming company Krikey launches mobile game YAATRA

    The total funding raised by Krikey now stands at $22 million.
    Reliance Jio has led the Series A funding of mobile gaming company Krikey, taking the Mukesh Ambani led telcom major's foray into AI and gaming a step further .

    On Wednesday, Krikey launched YAATRA, its mobile game with Jio, where using their phone cameras, players can participate in the action-adventure game. The total funding raised by Krikey now stands at $22 million.

    While the game is available in the IOS App Store and Google Play store, Jio users will have access to exclusive 3D Avtaar feature, Gameplay tokens (to unlock additional weapons and powers and some of the game levels.

    Once users complete their gameplay, they can choose to share a personalized video with friends. There are also video feeds to see gameplay videos posted by other users and a digital training ground where players can practice their bow and arrow skills before playing again.

    Inida is turning out to be one of the largest mobile gaming markets . Recently , South Korean gaming company PUBG Corporation will set up a subsidiary in the country and launch a new India-specific version of the popular battle royale game.
