    upGrad shifts majority of its IT infrastructure to Amazon Web Services

    Edtech startup upGrad has moved a majority of its information technology infrastructure to Amazon Web Services to rapidly scale its online learning experience.
    The Ronnie Screwvala-led unicorn was able to double its user base to two million in eight months and quadruple the time spent on its platform during the same period, AWS said.

    upGrad uses Amazon Redshift, a cloud data warehouse service, to analyse learners’ usage patterns, preferences, profile information, coursework, job applications, career progression. It also plans to procure software-as-a-service solutions for the company and its subsidiaries via AWS Marketplace.
